Welcome to Young Performers Australia–America.

YPA is an organisation dedicated to helping aspiring young performers and to bringing the Performing Arts communities of Australia and America closer. There is much we can share and learn from each other and YPA hopes to create a resource that will facilitate this. In short, we’re an organisation devoted to education and friendship.

Articles and advice will be posted at regular intervals. They will be written with the intention of sharing knowledge and tips, exchanging ideas and experiences, and introducing our readers to the many talented people in this industry. The range of articles will be diverse and informative, including interviews with distinguished Broadway performers, choreographers, dancers and actors, leading educators and working professionals, as well as profiles on schools and companies in the Performing Arts. We’ll also answer questions about the “who, what, when & where” regarding studying abroad.

American performers and educators will also be invited to visit Australia to take workshops and masterclasses. Our initial focus will be on Contemporary and Broadway dance with teachers of extraordinary calibre and experience.

We propose working on outreach programs with the community by giving opportunities to talented, underprivileged children to further their artistic potential.
